Enrichment When the Weather Isn't Playing Ball

Sometimes the weather simply isn't suitable for a walk. Heavy rain, thunderstorms, extreme temperatures or dangerous conditions can make an outdoor adventure the wrong choice for your dog.

At PathAndPaws, we don't believe that means your dog's time with us has to stop. When conditions aren't suitable for walking, we can switch gears and provide a range of indoor enrichment activities designed to keep your dog engaged, curious and mentally stimulated.

It's About the Individual Dog

Not every dog enjoys the same activities. Some love solving puzzles. Others are fascinated by scent work. Some prefer a gentle training session, while others simply enjoy quiet one-to-one attention.

That's why our enrichment activities are adapted to your dog's age, temperament, ability and interests.

We also keep sessions positive and allow your dog to disengage when they've had enough. Enrichment should be enjoyable, not another task they are expected to complete.

A Different Kind of Dog Day

Our aim isn't to replace a good outdoor walk whenever conditions are safe and appropriate. It's to make sure that when the weather prevents us from heading out, your dog can still have a worthwhile, engaging and enjoyable experience.

Bad weather doesn't have to mean a boring day.

Sometimes, a little creativity can turn an otherwise miserable day into an opportunity for your dog to learn, explore and have fun.
